Create the Newest Oreo Flavor and Win $500K

Oreo wants you to help design the next groundbreaking flavor, which means a contest is in order. Have the next best sandwich cookie idea? Text it to 59526. Post it on Instagram or Twitter and include the #MYOREOCREATION #CONTEST hashtag. Respond to an official Oreo Social Post with those same hashtags. Or, submit your idea through the link below. The winner of the contest gets their Oreo creation in stores all across the US and a $500,000 purse to go along with it. If you can’t wait to try some new Oreos, Nabisco just unveiled their latest flavor, Firework Oreos. Firework Oreos take the standard chocolate with creme sandwich cookie and add a “popping candy” that works just like Pop Rocks—except they’re not real Pop Rocks. People who have tried the new cookies have described them as being slightly more gritty than standard Oreos with a pleasant popping sensation. In other words, they’re still delicious with some added pop but not as gritty as those Peep Oreos that turned your poop funny colors after eating them.

You’ll Be Able To ‘Dunk’ Your Breakfast This Week… Fruity Pebble Oreos Are Coming

Just about any dessert-themed flavor is now plausible when it comes to novelty Oreo flavors and other stunt food, and it’s difficult to surprise us. Yet we were sort of surprised at one of the new flavors that Nabisco plans to release in June, since it’s sort of a type of cereal, and sort of not.

Fruity Pebbles, you may recall, are a brand of cereal from Post. Yet here are cookies with the theme of Fruity Pebbles Oreos that are totally not official Fruity Pebbles.

The flavor will hit stores next week, and will be available in a wide variety of grocery stores: Nabisco lists Ahold, Wegmans, HEB, AWG, HyVee, Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo, Giant Eagle, Price Chopper, and Meijer, but “wherever you normally get your Oreos” is probably a fair guess.

The other new flavor is more conventional, by Oreo standards, and is blueberry pie. That’s not what we’d think of as a traditional summer flavor, but it still sounds good. That novelty Oreo is an exclusive to Target, and will hit stores the week after Fruity Crisp, or the week of June 6.

So you thought Oreo had run out of ideas for new flavors? Think again. Milk’s favorite cookie is back to spread more joy than we ever thought imaginable with the release of the Red Velvet Oreo.

Like many Oreo flavors before it, Red Velvet started out as nothing more than a rumor, but alas, it turns out the dream concoction is actually true. The limited edition flavor will include 20 cookies per pack. Yes, that is a bit less than your traditional Oreo pack, and yes that means you will have to buy even more than you had originally planned. Each pack will cost $4.50, and will hit local grocery stores and retailers on February 2nd. The brand plans on keeping store shelves stocked for about 6-8 weeks (or until supplies last) to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Love is certainly in the air.
